The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world, taking place annually in Newcastle.

The Big Half is a vibrant, inclusive half marathon with a fun, festival atmosphere and you could be taking part with #TeamRetinaUK!
The stunning 13.1-mile route takes in many of the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
With live bands, DJs and cheering fans along the route, which takes you past Westminster Bridge, The London Eye, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Big Ben, this flat and friendly event is perfect for beginners or seasoned pros.
The Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in the United Kingdom. It is now one of Europe’s largest half marathons and is Wales’ largest mass participation event.
This iconic race starts and finishes in Victoria Embankment and is undulating, so not all flat. It is a picturesque route taking you along Victoria Embankment, past Nottingham Castle, near the Robin Hood Statue, and through the city.
