Meet our Trustee: Rob Halliwell
Rob joined the Board of Trustees at Retina UK in 2026.
Rob is Chief Technology Officer based in Manchester, with over 20 years' experience leading technology, software development and digital transformation across telecoms, retail, construction, logistics and regulated financial services organisations in the UK and Europe. He specialises in building scalable digital platforms and leading high-performing teams through complex change.
Rob brings a personal connection to Retina UK’s work. His two sons are visually impaired and live with retinitis. As both a parent and trustee, he is committed to improving the journey families experience after diagnosis and strengthening access to research and clinical trials.
He lives in Cheshire and, outside of work, enjoys hiking in the Lake District with his wife and cocker spaniel, Beau, as well as astrophotography and running.
