Angus Lowe, with a huge lake behind him

Meet our supporters: Angus Lowe

Angus was part of #TeamRetinaUK in 2021 and is running again in 2024. In the run-up to the 2021 race, this is what he had to say:

"I'm looking forward to running the Virgin Money London Marathon in October this year as part of #TeamRetinaUK which will be really special.

“A colleague of mine has retinitis pigmentosa and I’ve seen the impact it has on him and thought I should try and make a difference in some way. I originally signed up to run last year but the race was postponed. It was a bit gutting, given I had trained for 5 or 6 weeks. I didn’t let it get me down and I’ve carried on running since. I hope to run the marathon in 3 hours 15 minutes if possible.

“Retina UK offer great support with your fundraising and a multitude of ideas to try. There’s a Strava running club too which is a great way to keep in touch with other runners and see how they are getting on.”
