Extreme challenges

Wingwalking

  • Date and Time info: 1/01/2023 - 31/12/2024
  • Location: United Kingdom
  • Registration fee: £100
  • Fundraising target: £599
  • Face-to-face

Take on a wingwalk for Retina UK and conquer your fears alongside some of the best display pilots in the country. With steep turns, dives and zoom climbs, you’ll be totally exhilarated!

With our partnership with Wingwalk Buzz, you can choose from two funding options:

  • To sign up, you will need to pay a £100 deposit when you register
  • You can then either pay for the wingwalk yourself (a further £299) and then fundraise as much as you can for Retina UK
  • Or, you can pay just the £100 deposit and the remaining costs (£299) will come out of your fundraising. You will then need to raise a further £200 to meet our minimum sponsorship of £599, allowing £200 (and any further donations) to come to Retina UK
  • Please note that weekend prices are slightly higher than Monday-Thursday

The wingwalks take place at three locations around the UK:

  • Wingwalk South East: Dunkeswell Airfield, Devon, EX14 4LG
  • Wingwalk North: Leeds East Airport, Church Fenton, Yorkshire, LS24 9SE
  • Wingwalk London: Shuttleworth Old Warden Airfield, Biggleswade, SG18 9EP

“Retina UK gave me the best support after my diagnosis. The support, patience, empathy, kindness and understanding I received from helpline staff is one of the main reasons I came to terms with my diagnosis.”
