Welcome to the 'Talking' Travel Peer Support Group where we invite you to come and share your experiences, tips and hints around all things Travel at our bi-monthly meetings, from going on holidays to general every day getting about.

Please come and join group facilitators Richard Zimbler and Rachael Foley for our second 'Talking' Travel peer support group meeting where we are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Gavin Neate, Founder and CEO of WelcoMe, a web based person-centred tool to share your access needs.

Gavin Neate is the founder of WelcoMe, a SaaS model company with a unique, innovative tool.

WelcoMe’s mission is to support businesses to be universally accessible for the benefit of society and is the most person-centred tool to share access needs.

Gavin is a socially-engaged entrepreneur, with over 30 years experience as a Mobility Instructor and Disability advocate. Since founding his company in 2011, Gavin has addressed the challenges faced by disabled people with innovative tech solutions.

Gavin’s aim is to end ‘arrival anxiety’. WelcoMe is a web-based tool to give disabled people the most dignified and personal method to share their accessibility requirements when visiting shops, venues or restaurants for example. The tool supports businesses with enhanced communication and instant training. This means that teams do not need to rely on learning recall and can identify people with hidden conditions. WelcoMe gives dignity, and functions in the space between traditional training and the point of delivery.

WelcoMe – Enhancing Your Customer Service Experiences

Share your needs in advance and enjoy a smoother, more welcoming experience.

How WelcoMe Works:-
  • Find Accessible Places – Browse the growing directory of WelcoMe or find details on their websites
  • Create Your Profile – Share your accessibility preferences discreetly and securely.
  • Enjoy Tailored Experience – Businesses receive your profile in advance, allowing them to provide the best possible customer service.

Please come along and join us to hear from Gavin and support him by sharing your own customer service experiences, frustrations and challenges and help grow WelcoMe to more establishments and places you like to visit across the UK.

We hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you there!
