Biotechnology company MeiraGTx has announced encouraging news from its phase 1/2 clinical trial of botaretigene sparoparvovec (previously known as AAV-RPGR), a gene therapy aimed at X-linked retinitis pigmentosa caused by faults in the RPGR gene.

Octant, a clinical stage drug discovery company, has recently announced the dosing of the first healthy volunteer in their Phase 1a clinical trial of OCT-980 for Rhodopsin-associated autosomal dominant Retinitis Pigmentosa (RHO-adRP).

A huge thank you to everyone who completed our 2025 sight loss survey. This year we received over 600 responses.
