In April 2022 we joined with another seven leading sight loss organisations to make a public commitment to increasing the number of blind and partially sighted people employed within our sector, including at senior management level.

As a coalition of sight loss charities, we are calling on the Government to make the benefit system and employment support fit for purpose for blind and partially sighted people.

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) have awarded Retina UK the Visibly Better Employer quality standard.
The cost-of-living crisis is having a major impact on the lives of blind and partially sighted people. Many people are becoming increasingly concerned about how they will make ends meet. Sight Loss Charities have come together as between us we can offer help and support.

After more than 10 years of service as Chair of the Board of Trustees, Don Grocott has retired.
