The Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in the United Kingdom. It is now one of Europe’s largest half marathons and is Wales’ largest mass participation event.

With live music and thousands of spectators, this hugely popular race sells out fast but you could be there as part of #TeamRetinaUK in 2025. In true Mancunian style, it’s a party from start to finish, with a high-energy soundtrack along the route!
The stunning 13.1-mile route takes in many of the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
With live bands, DJs and cheering fans along the route, which takes you past Westminster Bridge, The London Eye, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Big Ben, this flat and friendly event is perfect for beginners or seasoned pros.
This is the only Half Marathon to be held at this historic royal home and Hampton Court Palace is one of only two surviving palaces that King Henry VIII owned. The race will start inside the Palace gates and finish in its beautiful gardens.
