Atsena Therapeutics present positive clinical data for LCA1 gene therapy program
Astena Theraputics' investigational gene therapy, ATSN-101, has shown promising long-term results in an early clinical trial for LCA1, a sever inherited retinal disease caused by mutations in the GUCY2D gene.
KIO-301 shows promising safety results in early-stage testing
KIO-301, an experimental ‘photoswitch’ drug in development by Kiora Pharmaceuticals has shown encouraging safety results in early-stage testing and is now being evaluated in a phase 2 study known as ABACUS-2. It is currently being trialled in those with advanced RP, with the potential to expand into choroideremia and stargardt disease.
