Prof John Marshall is the Frost Professor of Ophthalmology at the Institute of Ophthalmology at University College London.
Dr Graham undertook research into the basic mechanisms of retinal vasculitis, inflammation of the blood vessels in the retina, and is an important cause of poor vision in patients with uveitis, inflammation of the uveal tract.
Roger has retinitis pigmentosa, as do his son, mother and grandfather. He was officially diagnosed aged 16.
