Welcome to the 'Talking' Tech Peer Support Group where we invite you to come and share your experiences, tips and hints around all things Tech at our bi-monthly meetings.
We are pleased to invite you to join facilitators Anna Holloway & Ellie Dowdy for a special focus group edition of 'Talking' Tech where we are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Ebony Hemmings, Founder of a small startup tech company called Tekfluence AI.
Ebony Hemmings is a qualified social worker with many years of experience supporting adults, she is also the founder of Tekfluence AI, a small West Midlands technology company.
Tekfluence AI are developing Vibei, an early stage prototype of AI smart vision glasses that are designed to read text aloud and describe surroundings for people who are blind or visually impaired. Before they develop it further, they want to understand what people in the community actually need, what tools you already use, and where the gaps are. They have been undertaking online focus groups to gather this feedback and would love to hear from our ‘Talking’ Tech peer group members. At this point no device is actually being shown, these sessions are about hearing your experiences, challenges, needs and expectations around assistive technology.
Please come along to this informal and accessible session to share your opinions and experiences with Ebony to assist with the development of their Vibei smart glasses.
