‘Talking’ Tech peer support group
Welcome to the 'Talking' Tech Peer Support Group where we invite you to come and share your experiences, tips and hints around all things Tech at our bi-monthly meetings.
We are pleased to invite you to join us for our latest 'Talking' Tech meeting where we would like to hear about your experiences with any assistive technology which is used in and around the kitchen.
To celebrate National Cooking Day in September, we would like to inspire and encourage our community who are living with progressive sight loss to get creative and imaginative in the kitchen. It would be a great opportunity for you to share your cooking advice, tips, hints and tech know-how about talking kitchenware, appliances and Smartphone cooking apps that could support someone in regaining their confidence with cooking/baking or help develop new skills in the kitchen. This unique technology can also encourage healthier eating and promote a better sense of general well-being.
Whether you are a wiz in the kitchen, a connoisseur of fine cuisine or simply burn your toast every time then please come and join us where we can talk about the assistive tech that you use and the kitchen appliances that you are no longer comfortable with or find frustrating to use.

Please note that this meeting will be recorded and the audio only uploaded to our You Tube channel so please do not share any personal contact information. However, please feel free to share your experiences living with sight loss but only if you feel comfortable in doing so and remember that others outside of this meeting will be able to hear it on this public platform.
