South Yorkshire Local Peer Support Group
This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people with inherited sight loss to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.
We are pleased to invite you to join Retina UK's James Clarke for our second in-person South Yorkshire local peer support group meet up at the picturesque Endcliffe Park in Sheffield.
Come and join us for a leisurely walk around the park followed by coffee, a bite to eat and a catch up at their friendly cafe.
Set in the beautiful Endcliffe Park in the Porter Valley, away from the hustle and bustle of Sheffield city centre, Endcliffe Park Cafe likes to give its customers a warm welcome, whatever the weather.
They pride themselves on using locally sourced produce, free-range eggs and Fairtrade teas and coffees. With a full traditional menu including hearty breakfasts, daily specials and a variety of vegetarian options, this is a lovely place for friends and family to meet, and is popular with walkers on their way around the surrounding parkland.
The park itself was opened in 1887 to commemorate the Jubilee of Queen Victoria and features three monuments dedicated to the monarch. Comprising parkland and woodland, it is the first in a series of parks and green spaces, known collectively as Porter Valley Parks, all of which lie along the course of the Porter Brook.

Parking is available on the roads around the park, there is no designated car park but lots of space on Rustlings Road, around the park and on the other side streets.
There are nearby bus stops on Rustlings Road for the number 83 bus as well as on Ecclesall Road for the number 6 and 65 buses.
