Parents & Carers Peer Support Group
This Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for parents & carers of children living with inherited sight loss to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.
Are you a parent or carer of a child living with an inherited retinal dystrophy? If so, we invite you to join us for our first Parents & Carers Peer Support Group meeting on Thursday 28 November at 7pm.
We at Retina UK are striving to grow our Peer Support Network across the UK and provide support to those who are living with inherited sight loss and their families.
We speak with many parents of children who have been diagnosed with one of our conditions and they have often never spoken to anyone else in a similar situation. We know that such a diagnosis can bring lots of questions, uncertainty and stress, we also know the positive power of peer support. Having the opportunity to speak with others who understand the unique challenges that a diagnosis brings can be empowering, supportive and therapeutic.
Please join us to share your questions and concerns and help us to shape the future support that will help your family face the times ahead as part of a supportive community rather than in isolation.
We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there.
