This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people with inherited sight loss to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.

We are pleased to invite you to join facilitator Rachael Zimbler and the Manchester peer support group for their latest in-person get together at The Waldorf pub where we are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Nina Rios, Community Enablement Officer and part of the Sight Loss Support Team at Henshaws.

Henshaws Society for Blind People is a specialist charity providing support, advice and training to anyone affected by sight loss and other disabilities and is 188 years old.

Nina is Henshaws Community Enablement Officer, part of the Sight Loss Support Team, she started by covering Salford and Trafford and now covers Manchester.

Nina has been working for Henshaws for 5 years, and in the past, has worked with other charities like Disabled Living and Barnardo’s. Through her role she supports adults with sight loss to access services and live more independently in their local area.

Please come along to hear from Nina and ask any questions you may have, we will then follow on with our usual social chat and catch up with the group.

We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there!
