Manchester Local Peer Support Group
This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people with inherited sight loss to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.
We are pleased to invite you to join facilitator Rachael Zimbler and the Manchester group for their latest in person get together in the upstairs room at The Waldorf Pub where we are delighted to welcome our guest speakers Anthony Gough and Richard Zimbler, Trustees at North Wales Accessible Holidays for Blind and Visually Impaired.
North Wales Accessible Holidays for Blind and Visually Impaired was set up by Nigel and Karren Garry in 2017 in response to a shortage of UK based Accessible holiday providers and increases in demand for such holidays for Blind and partially sighted people throughout the UK. In the last few years and due to the incredible fundraising efforts of the charity founders, they own and run two fully accessible static caravans on the North Wales coast at both the Lyons Lido Beach and Robin Hood caravan sites. Their ongoing fundraising programme has enabled them as a charity to donate free and subsidised holidays to support children or adults living with sight loss and other disabilities.
Please come along and feel free to ask Anthony and Richard any questions regarding the charity, their holidays, how to make a booking enquiry as well as the facilities in the caravans and on the sites. We will then follow on with a general social catch up with the group.
Please meet up with Rachael inside the pub at 12pm where upon you will be directed to their upstairs function room.
Please could we ask that you register via the form below so we know who to expect on the day, thank you.
We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there!
