Dorset & Southwest Local Peer Support Group

Tricia Sail, winner of Race Across the World Series 3, is a 52 year old severely sight impaired charity worker living in Devon. Tricia raced across the whole of Canada with her best friend Cathie Rowe to prove that people with a disability can still do anything they put their minds to.

The duo completed a 16,000 km trek across Canada, traveling from Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, to St. John’s, Newfoundland, without using smartphones, credit cards, or taking flights. They finished first after 50 days of travel, arriving at the final checkpoint (Cape Spear) just 20 minutes ahead of the runner-up team, winning the £20,000 cash prize.
