We will be back in London (and online) in 2025 for our Annual Conference.

The line-up for our 50th anniversary year conference includes the following:

  • 50 years of progress into inherited sight loss research and the impact of Retina UK’s funding with Professor Michel Michaelides, Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
  • Professor Jane Sowden, Professor of Developmental Biology and Genetics at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children will outline her latest Retina-UK funded project, exploring the development of a surgically implanted photoreceptor patch to repair the retina.
  • Biotechnology companies will join us to update on their innovative work developing potential treatments for inherited sight loss.
  • Christopher Patnoe, Head of Accessibility and Disability Inclusion at Google will explain about how their innovative advances in technology can help the sight loss community.
