Sight Village, Leeds

Posted on: Wednesday 3 October 2018

On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of exhibiting at Sight Village Leeds along with Paula McGrath, our Head of Development and Matthew Carr, Regional Services Manager for Central and Wales Region. The event was again held at Royal Armouries in Leeds, a lovely venue, made even more fun by the little yellow water taxi that runs from the station to the venue, what a lovely way to travel to work in the sunshine!

There were more than 400 visitors to the event and we got to meet lots of people who are living with an inherited retinal dystrophy and let them know about our services. We were also able to make connections with many health and social care professionals interested in learning more about the conditions and the work of the charity.  It was also lovely to catch up with some of RPFB’s long term members.

The team will be attending the World Sight Day event at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London on the 11th October, and we will be at Sight Village London at Kensington Town Hall 6th & 7th November, if you are planning to attend either, please do come and say hello.
