We are looking forward to welcoming the following sponsors and exhibitors to the Retina UK Annual Conference.
OXSIGHT glasses can enhance the remaining sight for individuals living with conditions that cause peripheral vision loss, for example Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Myopic Degeneration, Retinopathy of prematurity and other degenerative eye diseases. They have also helped people with a visual impairment caused following a stroke, such as homonymous hemianopia.
The glasses are fitted with a camera streaming a live feed into two HD video displays, placed in front of your area of useable vision. This can potentially increase your field of view to 68 degrees horizontally.
Launched in 1928 British Wireless for the Blind Fund have been providing radios to visually impaired people for 90 years. They pride themselves on providing a personal service to each individual who receives a new set.
They supply specially adapted audio equipment to those who would not usually be able to afford it, on a free loan to visually impaired people all across the UK. They are not government funded so it is thanks only to the continued generosity of their supporters that they can carry on helping people who need it the most.
Calibre Audio Library is a national charity that unlocks the joy of reading by providing audiobooks to everyone unable to read print; whether through sight problems, dyslexia or other disabilities. It is subscription-free, delivering audiobooks to members through our download app, streaming over the internet and a free postal service of MP3 CDs & memory sticks.
Guide Dogs exists to provide life-changing services to the 360,000 people who are registered blind or partially sighted, and the two million people in the UK living with sight loss. We provide a range of services with and beyond the dog to help thousands of people with different needs lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives.
