Despite the knock-on effects of the pandemic, there’s been a lot going on this year in the world of research! Here are snapshots of a few stories that have appeared in the Research News section of our website in 2022.
High quality information on genetic testing and counselling for families affected by inherited sight loss is now available in one place thanks to the launch of an innovative new website, Unlock Genetics.
Dr Nikolas Pontikos is a Senior Research Fellow at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, and has been working on inherited retinal conditions for several years.
The cover of this edition celebrates the success of our amazing London Marathon team. Together they have raised more than £43,000.

Martin started volunteering for Retina UK in 2014 after retiring as a Chartered Civil Engineer.
