POSTPONED: North West Visual Impairment Family Day

Saturday 14 March 2020
St Vincent’s School, Liverpool (L12 9HN)
11.00am – 3.00pm (registration from 10.30am)

After careful consideration, with regret we have decided to postpone the North West Visual Impairment Family Event, due to take place on Saturday 14 March at St Vincent’s School in Liverpool.

The team of charities involved in organising this event have been closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID19) situation, including government and Public Health England advice specifically for educational settings and we have not taken this decision lightly. We are concerned about the safety and health of our guests, which includes children with conditions which makes them more vulnerable, and as a result we no longer believe we can achieve our ambition.

Details of the rescheduled date will be communicated as soon as possible.

Retina UK have joined together with Henshaws; Royal Society for Blind Children; St Vincents School for the Blind and Victa to hold a Family Day in Liverpool.

This will be our second event and we hope to make this year even bigger and better!  There will be information for parents around education; supporting independence; employability; parent and carers support and technology.  This is a great opportunity to hear from and speak with the professionals as well as a chance to meet with other families.

There will be a range of fun activities for children and young people to enjoy.  The day is FREE to attend and lunch will be provided. Download the agenda, including speaker profiles.
