Big Give Kind2Mind

The Big Give Kind2Mind campaign coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week, placing a spotlight on the challenges parents with a visual impairment face.

We know that parents living with inherited progressive sight loss often face immense mental health challenges. Through Their Eyes provides vital hope and support.

Poor mental health is widely recognised as an issue for those affected by sight loss, however there is a lack of tangible action and support. Mental health services are struggling to cope with demand.

Two triangles, one in light blue/green pointing downwards with the words 'Kind2Mind' and the other in black, facing upwards with the words 'BigGive'This project is a game-changer, offering a safe space to share experiences, frustrations, triumphs without judgment, easing parents’ struggles. This innovative approach addresses the significant emotional challenges faced by parents, by fostering a sense of community, understanding, and shared strength. Our project will lead to better outcomes for both parents and their children.

Kindness starts small. Whether it’s one smile or two kind words, every little bit counts to make a big difference in someone’s life. Now, multiply that difference again and again.

We have lined up a match funding pot of £15,000. Every donation made will be doubled from this pot until it runs out – achieving our target of £30,000!

You can still make a donation, even if the match funding pot has run out. In fact, we would encourage you to do so – even though your donation won’t be doubled, it will still add to the total raised and invested in research, and if we exceed our target we become eligible for an additional cash award from the Big Give.
