Sense Adventures is a charity offering affordable walking short break holidays for the blind and visually impaired as well as day walks on the Malvern Hills. The holidays take place in a variety of locations including Malvern, Devon this November, the Gower in South Wales and South Lakes in 2027. Trained sighted volunteers join the groups and walk on a one-to-one basis with the blind walkers as well as joining the group for the duration of the holidays. The groups are around 9 V.I’s and 11 sighted volunteers. The emphasis is on enjoying a sociable experience with fun and friendly groups. Guide dogs are welcome. Founder, Dee is herself visually impaired and started Sense Adventures drawing on her own experience of sight loss.
