  • Location: Via Zoom
  • Online

This Gents Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people with inherited sight loss to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.

You are invited to join Mark Baxter & friends for an evening of chit-chat and catching up at our virtual men's group where we will be focusing on sharing our fears, phobias and anxieties, whether its around inherited sight loss or our daily lives in general.

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt.

This gents peer support group is a safe, friendly & welcoming place which gives us guys the opportunity to all sit around a virtual table and discuss what’s on your mind, any troubles & struggles or specific topics such as loss of your driving license to walking with a white cane.

“Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision.” – Winston Churchill.

So grab a cuppa and let’s share advice from daily living to DIY, fitness to facial hair and any other tips, hints & tricks to help support us fellas who are living with inherited sight loss.

We welcome and encourage you to come and have your say in how we move forward with this peer support group and how we can best support our male community living with progressive retinal dystrophies.

So please come along and share your experiences and how you overcome your fears or if you would just like a chat, advice or simply need a listening ear, we are here to support you.

Whether you are a returning member or new to the group, everyone is welcome so please join us to catch up with old mates or to make some new ones.

We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there!

“Fear is not an option” – James Cameron, film director.
