This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people with inherited sight loss to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.

We are pleased to invite you to join group facilitator Rachael Foley for our latest online Manchester local peer support group meeting where we are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Azeem Amir, player for the England Blind Football Team.

Azeem Amir is 25 and has been visually impaired since birth, however, he has never let it be a barrier to success. Azeem plays Blind Football professionally for the England blind football team and is working towards achieving international success.

He is now an ambassador for several disability awareness charities and organizations and through public speaking (TED Talks), coaching and workshops aims to inspire as many young people as possible to achieve their own version of success. He has just completed a Master’s and has now stepped into the world of Enterprise launching his own nationwide organisation and charitable foundation called Learn With ESS which aims to educate schools, sports clubs and businesses about disability awareness through a unique team away day offering tied in with impactful schemes of work!

We hope you can join us to hear about Azeem’s inspirational story and ask any questions you may have.

We look forward to seeing you there!

This meeting will be held online via Zoom.
