London local peer support group
This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.
After having to unfortunately reschedule and cancel this event twice last Summer due to unforeseen circumstances, facilitator Bhavini Makwana and the group are again pleased to invite you to come and enjoy an afternoon picnic in Russell Square Gardens, one of London’s most prestigious parks which dates back to the early 19th Century.
The public square covers about 2.5 hectares, with lawns, walks and an ornamental fountain and it forms part of the Bedford Estate, the garden designed by Humphry Repton (1806).
In case anyone forgets or is unable to bring a picnic, there is a cafe in the park where hot and cold food can be purchased and there is also outside seating too. The park itself has plenty of benches but anyone that would like to sit on the grass may wish bring a blanket etc.
If the weather is bad then we can look at having lunch at one of the many dining places around Russell Square or Bloomsbury Centre and Square.
