This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.
We are pleased to invite you to join group facilitator Katrina Tavoulari for the second meeting of our new Bristol, Bath & Wilts local peer support group where we are delighted to welcome guest speaker Zein Oweis, PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow.
Zein Al Maha Oweis (Zee) is a 4th year PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow. Her research interest is in disability representation in the Media. Zein was born with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and was diagnosed between the ages of 4-6 years old. She has degrees in Communications and Journalism. When not stuck behind her computer screen you can find her trying out new coffee shops with friends or adventuring somewhere in the Scottish Highlands with her guide dog Mitch.
Please come along to hear all about Zein’s fascinating life and studies and ask any questions you may have followed by a social catch up afterwards. It would be great to hear your thoughts and ideas for any future potential speakers, activities or places of interest you would like to visit when we start to meet in-person in Spring 2024.
