This Local Peer Support Group provides a welcoming, safe and friendly opportunity for people to meet up to share experiences, tips and information.
We are pleased to invite you to join group facilitator James Birtley and the Berkshire group for an in-person social catch up over lunch at the Bluegrass BBQ Smokehouse in Reading.
Please join us for our next in-person meet up for lunch and come and enjoy the unique taste of the Southern US States that this BBQ Smokehouse has brought to Reading.

They take their meats and cook them the true American way which means their BBQ pit masters work around the clock to ensure the ‘cue they serve when their doors open is the best you will find – it takes nearly 48 hours of loving care and attention to perfect each of their smoked meat cuts.
Their recipes have won awards at the Jack Daniels Invitational BBQ contest in Tennessee and they are dedicated to creating and serving the very best BBQ, smoked low ‘n’ slow on site daily in their imported hardwood burning smokers. So now you don’t need to fly 4,925 miles to eat the real deal.

Meet Up Point & Timings
Please meet up with James outside the restaurant entrance between 12.45pm – 1pm. If you do arrive after 1pm please speak to a member of staff who will guide you to our reserved table.
The restaurant is an 8 minute walk from Reading train station via Station Road, Queen Victoria Street, Broad Street, Chain Street and then onto Gun Street.
Alternatively, the closest bus stops are Minster Street, stop MQ or St Mary’s Butts, stop CA.
