Retina UK Annual Conference 2026
We will be heading to Birmingham (and online) in 2026 for our Annual Conference.
Join our community of individuals and families living with inherited sight loss at the Retina UK Annual Conference on 19 September, held at the Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Birmingham, from 10:00–16:20 and available to attend both in person and online. This welcoming, community-focussed event brings together lived experience, research updates, practical support, and opportunities to connect with others who truly understand.
The day begins with registration, networking, and time to explore our exhibition stands before a warm welcome from the Retina UK team. Throughout the morning, delegates will hear from experts and community voices on key areas shaping the future of inherited sight loss, including developments in research, how clinical trials work, and the role of emerging technologies in everyday life.
After lunch and further time with exhibitors, the afternoon turns to real‑life experiences, practical guidance, and open conversation. Sessions will explore the impact of fundraising within our community and offer space to hear directly from those involved in research, support, and lived experience. The day concludes with an opportunity to speak to our speakers throughout the day, while online delegates join a dedicated session with the Retina UK team.
